Negros Island is one of the larger islands shaped like a boot. It lies adjacent to the island of Cebu and is divided
longtitudally into two provinces. Negros Occidental, the larger province, covers the west
and south - the capitol city is Bacolod. While Negros Oriental covers the eastern and south eastern
side, capitol city Dumageute. Mount Kaalon range is a sleeping volcano which divides the two provinces.
